Butindlela Mentorship Programme

We provide free mentorship services to young men between the ages of 18-25. Through a progressive methodology of periodic and long-term contact sessions between a mentor and a maximum of 10 mentees, a comprehensive program of issues is addressed; faith, politics and governance, ethics/ ethical behavior, financial literacy, personal leadership and development, technology and innovation, sustainability, relationships, emotional intelligence, decision intelligence, resilience and mental health, crisis management, substance abuse as well as health and fitness. Our first cohort started in 2017 to date. Until covid 19, contact sessions were held physically every quarter. The program, with the help of mentors, also supports mentees on self-help initiatives, career and professional guidance, tertiary support, and business and employment opportunities. Meetings are held a minimum of six (6) times a year. Over time, the current mentees will participate as mentors to younger counterparts. Alongside this initiative, the Gcebani Foundation runs tailor-made mental health and growth conversations for unemployed graduates on a 6-month program. We believe that the season of unemployment is a season of regrouping and strategizing about one’s future, business prospects, and resilience. We encourage unemployed young people to exploit their worth outside of formal employment.

Intentional Parenting

Our latest flagship programme aims at equipping current or future parents, caregivers, and guardians with tools and strategies for raising healthy, happy, and resilient children. With a selection of various experts, tapping from indigenous knowledge and research, the programme tackles all issues children from conception to 18 years, prenatal and postnatal, early childhood development, education and learning systems, occupational health, family structures, health and nutrition, disability, physical, emotional and cognitive development, culture and socialization. We believe that adulthood is a consequence of childhood….how children are raised determines how they function as adults.

“START THE WAY YOU MEAN TO FINISH”

Complete High School Programme

Whilst free education in primary school provides a buffer for most children, high school pupils are not offered the same benefit. As a result, the incidence of high school dropouts, due to the inability to pay for school fees continues to rise in Eswatini. Gcebani Foundation  raises funds to pay high school fees for deserving pupils in Eswatini, to ensure that they complete high school.

“EDUCATION IS OPTIONS”

Literacy Programme

Gcebani Foundation partners with communities that record poor national primary school results by supplying them with books.

“A BOOK CAN CHANGE A LIFE”

“A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you, than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you.”
— Bob Proctor

We believe in assisting the youth in achieving the best version of themselves, however, it may be.
