Empowering Lives
Gcebani Foundation was borne out of a need for mentorship for young men between the ages of 18 – 25. There is a serious fragmentation in the development of young men and the transition thereof, which is a symptom of the dearth of programs that are directed at empowering the boy child. Yet, the global movement for the empowerment of the girl child driven by governments, NGOs, International Agencies, and communities, have been more structured and intense over the years.
Even though women, are naturally inclined to address personal challenges within groups of other women, men are disposed of differently. As a result, the boy child has been neglected and the repercussions are extensive and cannot be ignored. The foundation has expanded to the following programmes: Mental Health for Graduates Programme, Complete High School Program, and Literacy Programme. Gcebani is a fully registered (R7/34222) and compliant Non Profit Organisation (NPO).

GCEBEKILE NHLABATSI
STRATEGY & FUTURES
Gcebekile is the founder of the Gcebani Foundation, whose vast professional experience has accrued from the public, private, and NGOs as a program manager. She thrives on impact-driven initiatives. She currently runs various businesses with her husband in consulting, agribusiness, and fast food.
MVUMENI DLAMINI
FUNDRAISING, ADVOCACY & COMMUNICATIONS
Mvumeni is an entrepreneur in the making with experience in various start-up businesses through the Junior Achievers High School Entrepreneur program. In 2015, he was awarded CEO and business of the year for the continental Junior Achievers Competition in Gabon. He is currently working at MTN Eswatini and has ideation for various start-ups.
ANDZILE SHONGWE
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Andzile is a budding demography, geography, and environmental science specialist. She is also endowed with multiple arts in beauty, design, photography, and culinary skills. She currently assists in her family’s vehicle repair company.
LUNGELO VILKATI
FINANCE, MONITORING & EVALUATION
Lungelo is a smart, studious, and ambitious young man with a passion for anything geeky and family. He is currently in year 4 of his engineering degree at the University of Botswana. Also an alumni of the Junior Achievers program, he is passionate about the enterprise. During school holidays, he interns at MTN Eswatini.
We believe in assisting the youth in achieving the best version of themselves, however, it may be.
